The Law Student Association (LSA) serves as the elected student government for Boston College Law School, making it the largest student organization within the law school community. The LSA is responsible for representing all aspects of student life, including academic and career services, faculty tenure and appointments, social and athletic activities, community service and alumni development.

On Thursday, November 6th the Community Service Committee is sponsoring a law student recruitment event for the Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid.  The event runs from 5:30 pm until 7 pm and will be held at the Boston Bar Association, 16 Beacon Street in Boston.

Reunions! Come meet Alumni on Friday, November 7th! Help welcome returning alumni or lead a guided tour of the BC Law campus, 3 pm to 6 pm, contact Ann Carey (careyac@bc.edu) to sign up. Regional Alumni "Bar Review" Cocktail Receptions, come meet and network with alumni from your region! 3 pm to 5 pm, Snack Bar. Law panel on "Election 2008" with Congressman Robert C. Scott '73, Professors Kay Schlozman and Marc Landy, and moderator Cameron Kerry '78, 4:30 pm to 6 pm, Stuart 408.

On Tuesday, November 11th there will be an LRAP Information Session with Maris Abbene from Career Services and Jill Barnhart from Financial Aid.  The event will take place at 1 pm in Stuart 409 and free food will be served! 

On Thursday, November 13th there will be an LRAP Bar Review with BC Alums at the Good Life in Downtown Crossing.  Come network with alumni and get free drink tickets!  The bar is located at 28 Kingston Street and starts at 6 pm. 

On Monday, November 24th, the LSA is hosting a night of Skating at the Frog Pond! We've rented the entire rink from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, will be providing free admission, free hot chocolate and cookies. Rent your own skates. And join us for the After Party at Hub Pub, 18 Province Street, a few blocks from Boston Common, starting at 9 pm. Bring your friends and families!

Thanks to all who have purchased tickets to BC in the Balcony! 61 of you will be attending the Boston Ballet's production of the Nutcracker on Saturday, December 6th. We hope this will become an annual tradition!

And finally, thank you to everyone who trucked through a very wet Race Ipsa Loquitur 2008.  The participants raised over 800 dollars for the Dean Lutch Scholarship Fund.  See everyone in the spring for Race Judicata 2009!
